Where You Might Be

Three ways people end up here.

Pick the one that feels most like you right now.

The Climber

Ready, but unproven on paper.

You've earned it. Your CV hasn't caught up yet.

You want the promotion, the leadership title, or the bigger role. Your work speaks for itself in the room. Outside it, on paper and on screen, the story doesn't land the way it should. We fix that.

Book a Fit Check
The Pivot

Leaving the classroom, not education.

You know where you want to go. Not how to get there.

Curriculum design, instructional design, EdTech, consulting, your own practice. These careers exist and people make the move. You just need a clear map of what that shift actually looks like, and how to talk about it.

Book a Fit Check
The Relocator

New country, same expertise.

Your qualifications didn't lose value. The system just doesn't speak your language yet.

You've moved, or you're about to. You have real experience and real credentials. What you need is someone who knows how the new system reads you, and how to make sure it reads you right.

What This Actually Is

This isn't CV editing.

pop it

It's your professional identity.

Most people offering this have never hired. I have. I've built teams, hired teachers, and been hired myself: into classrooms, leadership, curriculum roles across countries. I know what a recruiter is scanning for because I've been the recruiter. So when I work with you, the CV is the smallest part of what changes.

  • A rebuilt CV and interview story
  • A LinkedIn presence that gets you found
  • A business model, if you're going independent
  • A reading and course list built for your gap
  • Scripts for the conversations you're avoiding
  • The imposter syndrome, named and dismantled

I work with people who have depth. I show care through honesty and professionalism, not sugarcoating. You'll get a real path forward, with coherent steps to move on it.

The phones made attention fragile. The curriculum is not helping it recover. We have spent three years making lessons shorter and easier. That is exactly the wrong direction.

A mind that is under-stimulated does look disordered. We are diagnosing the child instead of fixing the curriculum. I find that very difficult to accept.

Soft skills are a polite way of being underprepared. The elite schools know this. That is why they are doing the opposite. For everyone else, soft skills are what you get instead of substance.

What people call "teacher freedom" is often schools transferring system-level failure onto individuals and romanticising the survival process as creativity. Children feel that inconsistency immediately.

01 · CV Reframe

From duties to results

The original CV listed what Sofia was responsible for. Hiring managers don't need a job description. They look for evidence of impact. We rebuilt every bullet around what really changed because she was there.

Head of Year. Before & After

Before

Responsible for pastoral care of 180 students
Organised parents' evenings and reports
Attended weekly leadership meetings
Managed behaviour logs and detentions

After

Led pastoral strategy for 180 students; reduced persistent absence by 18% in one term
Redesigned parents' evening format, satisfaction scores rose from 62% to 89%
Introduced weekly staff briefings that cut cross-department miscommunication by half
Built a behaviour tracking system now used across the whole year group
Rule: Every bullet should answer "so what?" If you can remove it without losing evidence of impact, remove it.

Head of Year with 6 years driving measurable improvement in student outcomes, attendance, and pastoral culture. Known for building systems others use long after I've moved on. Ready to step into department leadership with the evidence to back it.

Key Achievements. Top of page, not buried

03 · Leadership Language

Words that land in the interview room

Panels for Head of Department roles listen for leadership vocabulary. These are the terms Sofia was avoiding and the ones she started using.

Instead ofSay thisWhy it lands
I helped with…I led / I designed / I owned…Signals agency, not support
We did a project on…I initiated a programme that…Shows you start things
I managed behaviourI built a culture where…Frames systems correctly
Things improvedX rose / fell / increased by Y%Panels need numbers to trust claims
I work well with peopleI built cross-department alignment by…Shows collaborative leadership
04 · Mock Interview

The questions that were killing her chances

Sofia was hedging. Softening. Giving the panel everything except conviction. We ran two mock sessions and rebuilt her answers from scratch.

Challenge
"Why do you want to move into department leadership?"
Old answer: 45 seconds of uncertainty
New: "Because I've spent six years building the systems that departments run on and I'm ready to lead the team that uses them."
Challenge
"Tell me about a time you led change."
Old answer: "We all worked together on…"
New: Used the behaviour tracking system: specific problem, her solution, measurable outcome, what it meant for the school.
Strategy
"What would you do in your first 90 days?"
Shows they've thought beyond the interview
Prepared a 3-phase answer: listen & audit → identify quick wins → build a 6-month plan with the team.
Watch for
"What are your weaknesses?"
Don't perform humility
Pick something real, show what you've done about it, and land on growth.
05 · LinkedIn Rebuild

About section framework

Six years ago I walked into a school that had a behaviour problem nobody had named yet. I named it, built a system to track it, and watched persistent absence drop 18% in a single term.

That's what I do: I find the pattern under the problem and build something that outlasts me.

I've led pastoral strategy for 180 students, redesigned how we communicate with families, and created briefing structures that the whole staff now use. My next move is Head of Department because I'm ready to apply that same thinking at a curriculum level.

If you're a school looking for someone who leads with evidence and builds with people, I'd like to speak with you.

Most people offering this have never hired. I have and have done across different countries and roles. Career cooaches don't specialised on education. I do. I know what a recruiter or panel is actually scanning for because I've been on that side of the table. The CV is the smallest part of what changes. I always give advice on books to read, courses to finish and everything connected to education.

No. Teachers, school leaders, and education professionals more broadly, whether you're moving up, moving sideways into EdTech or curriculum or instructional design, or moving countries with your qualifications intact.

That uncertainty is the starting point for most people who book a Fit Check. You don't need to have it figured out before we talk.

Yes. I've worked across a number of countries. All sessions are remote by video call.
